The school is named in loving memory of Sushant Saurav, a bright and promising young student of Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi, who belonged to the local community of Nunfara. From an early age, Sushant possessed a compassionate outlook towards society and believed deeply in the transformative power of education. He dreamed of a future in which children, irrespective of their social or economic circumstances, would have access to education and the opportunity to become knowledgeable, independent and self-reliant individuals.
His aspirations extended far beyond his own personal success. He wished to see the children of his community educated, empowered and equipped to build better lives for themselves and their families.
Tragically, destiny did not allow Sushant to fulfil this dream himself. However, the values he cherished and the vision he carried did not disappear with him. His dream became an inspiration for his family and ultimately laid the foundation for an institution dedicated to carrying his aspirations forward.
From a Cherished Dream to an Educational Institution
With the determination to transform Sushant Saurav’s vision into a meaningful and enduring legacy, his father took the initiative to establish an educational institution in his memory.
Thus, in 2006, Sushant Public School began its journey in Nunfara, Muzaffarpur, with a commitment to provide quality education and create opportunities for children of the region.
What began as a deeply personal dream gradually evolved into a larger educational mission—one dedicated to nurturing young minds, strengthening character and helping children realise their potential.
Established under the aegis of Onkar Educational Trust, Nunfara, Muzaffarpur, the school has continued to grow while remaining firmly connected to the values and purpose that inspired its foundation.

Over the years, Sushant Public School has developed into a CBSE-affiliated Senior Secondary educational institution, providing education from the foundational years through the 10+2 level.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with Affiliation No. 330316.
While the institution has grown in size, academic scope and opportunities for students, its fundamental purpose has remained unchanged: to make meaningful education a pathway towards confidence, independence and a better future.
